About the workshop

Do you want to learn how to create vibrant, realistic watercolor paintings? Join nationally recognized watercolor artist Andrea Walker for this one day workshop to learn her tips and techniques. She will guide you through the painting from start to finish as we explore texture, color, and depth in watercolor.

In this class, you will paint a colorful watercolor still life and learn:

  • How to create rich, deep darks and glowing highlights
  • Layering in watercolor to build realistic textures and form
  • Strategies for color mixing to make clean, lustrous mixes
  • Color palette choices to set up your painting for success
  • How to paint both soft and hard edges to create a realistic effect

About the instructor

Andrea Walker is a nationally recognized fine artist and art educator who creates realistic paintings and drawings, and she is most known for her watercolor still life paintings.

Her artwork has been displayed throughout the country with prestigious organizations including the American Watercolor Society, the Ohio Watercolor Society, and American Art Collector magazine. She has won many awards for her watercolor paintings including Best in Water Media at the American Artists Professional League national exhibition and First Place with the Greater Cincinnati Watercolor Society.

Andrea earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design, and she now lives and works in the Greater Cincinnati area. She has led workshops across the US and Canada and is known as a light-hearted, inclusive teacher with a passion for sharing her craft.

With a 5-day+ notice, you receive a refund of all but $50.00. Cancellations with less than 5 days notice, no refund. In the event of personal or immediate family hospitalization or death, 100% is refunded.
