Open to anyone interested in Plein Air Painting
Join local artist, Nancy Achberger, as she demonstrates how to become comfortable with painting outdoors. The backdrop is the yard of the Ferris House, an 1800’s pioneer home that belongs to the Mariemont Preservation Association. Nancy will share thoughts on how plein air painting differs from studio painting and what basic supplies are recommended; and, she will offer tips and techniques for making your outdoor experience successful.
To paint or not to paint? The option is yours, but if you plan to paint please bring your own supplies.
Chairs will not be provided, so feel free to have your own folding/bag chair with you.
Once you become more comfortable with plein air painting, you may want to register for upcoming events such as the Mariemont Paint Out and Exhibition, October 17 & 18.
