This is a 1-day Interactive Seminar/Workshop for Artists who are ready to consider or launch a full-time practice.

If you’ve been considering launching your abilities as an artist into a full-time practice, this one-day seminar/workshop is designed to answer many of the questions regarding taking your work from the studio to the gallery and building a successful business as a working artist. Topics include building your business infrastructure, exploring different outlets for your work, finding gallery representation, pricing your work, self-promotion, and shipping your artwork along with many other practical vs. theoretical subjects.

Dan Graziano is an award winning, nationally exhibited artist whose work has been featured in numerous publications and is in the collections of private and corporate collectors throughout the world. He will share his personal experience as a full-time working artist and be available for plenty of question-and-answer time.

This is a 2-day Workshop Primarily for Intermediate to Advanced Level Oil Painters — Acrylic Painters Also Welcome.

This two-day workshop will focus on painting en plein air (outdoors) and include how to develop greater skills of observation and simplification. Working wet-on-wet and quickly painting alla prima (all at once) you will translate what you see and experience into strong painterly paintings.

Starting with a brief discussion on the basics of oil painting — from materials to paint handling — the workshop will also address the fundamentals of color, value, edges, perspective, and other practical issues. One-on-one instruction will include a series of timed painting exercises incorporating the techniques discussed. In addition to in-studio instruction, each day at different outdoor locations, Dan will provide a short painting demo and explain his process, then participants will work on two or three paintings of their own with individual attention from Dan.
